LAKE ONTARIO SPORT FISHING CHARTERS
We fish out of the Port of Oswego, in Oswego N.Y. which provides the angler, the opportunity to fish for and catch a wide and diverse array of game fish. We can offer trips for all local species from our World Class Chinook & Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Steelhead and Rainbow Trout.
King Salmon
A large King Salmon (also called a Chinook salmon) is a prized and sought-after catch for a sporting angler. The flesh of the salmon is also highly valued for its dietary nutritional content, which includes high levels of important omega-3 fatty acids. Adult fish range in size from 15 to 30 lbs.
Coho Salmon
Also known as silver salmon or silvers. Average adult is 8-12 pounds.
Atlantic Salmon
Although rare, adults average 8-12 pounds.
Brown Trout
The brown trout has been a popular target of anglers for centuries. The brown trout is a medium-sized fish, spring brown trout average size is 3 to 5 lbs, summer 7 lbs. to 9lbs. Trophy brown trout at 12 lbs. to 20 lbs.
(Steelhead) Rainbow Trout
Rainbow trout and steelhead are highly regarded game fish, better know as fresh water tarpon or silver bullets, due to their leaping ability. We target them in the month of June. Average size is 5 to 8 lbs, and trophy 15 lbs. to 25 lbs.
